Heart Rate

Heart rate during exercise, also known as active heart rate, is a measure of how fast your heart beats while you're exercising. It's usually much higher than your resting heart rate because aerobic exercise makes your heart beat faster. Heart rate can vary from person to person and can fluctuate based on your environment, activity level, stress, and other factors.

Maximum heart rate (MHR) is the highest number of beats per minute (bpm) your heart can pump during physical activity or other high stress situations. There are multiple formulas out there to determine this for each individual, but for simplicty we will use: 220 - age = Maximum heart rate
